The only backup that counts is the one you’ve restored
Almost everyone believes they have a backup. Far fewer have ever tested it. The gap between those two is where people lose ten years of photographs.
We set up backups that are checked, and we test restores — because an untested backup is a belief, not a protection.
If you have just lost data, stop using the device now. Continuing to use it is what turns a recoverable situation into a permanent loss.
If it’s your photos and documents
The common disasters are ordinary: a dropped laptop, a failed drive, a stolen phone, a ransomware message, or simply deleting something and emptying the bin.
We’ll set up something that runs by itself and doesn’t depend on you remembering. And if the worst has already happened, bring us the device — recovery is often possible even from drives that no longer appear on the computer. Success is never certain, and we’ll tell you honestly what the chances look like before you spend anything.
If it’s your business
The question isn’t whether you have backups. It’s how much work you can afford to lose, and how long you can afford to be stopped.
Answer those two honestly and the right setup becomes obvious — how often backups run, how many copies, how far back they go, and how fast you can be working again. We build to those answers rather than to a package.
Ransomware deserves specific mention: it deliberately seeks out and encrypts connected backups. A backup on a drive permanently plugged into the server is not protection. At least one copy must be beyond its reach.
What’s included
- Automatic backup for computers, laptops and servers
- Off-site and cloud copies, isolated from ransomware
- Photo and phone backup that runs without being remembered
- Tested restores — proof it works, not a promise
- Data recovery from failed, damaged or formatted drives
- Recovery after ransomware or accidental deletion
- Migration to a new computer with nothing left behind
- Backup review, if you have something already and want to know whether it would hold

How it works
- What would hurt to lose? Usually a smaller list than people expect, which makes it cheaper to protect properly.
- Set it up and automate it. A backup that needs you to do something eventually stops.
- Test the restore. Then you know.
- Check it periodically. Take that on yourself, or leave it with us as a monitored service.

Questions people ask
Can you get back data from a drive that won’t start?
Often, yes. It depends on whether the failure is electronic, mechanical or logical. We assess first and tell you the realistic odds before any cost.
Is cloud storage the same as a backup?
No. Sync services copy your mistakes too — delete a file, and it disappears everywhere. A real backup keeps versions from before the mistake.
How much does recovery cost?
Assessment is €20, and that tells you what’s realistically possible before you commit to anything further. The cost of the recovery itself depends on the fault, and we quote it after the assessment — never before, because anyone quoting a recovery sight-unseen is guessing. You’ll know the price and the odds before we go any further.
What if my laptop was stolen?
Then the backup is the whole story. It’s also a good moment to talk about encryption, so a stolen device doesn’t become a data breach as well as a loss.
